Types of Sedation Dentistry

Nitrous Oxide

Children who experience anxiety due to the sights, sounds, or sensations of dental treatment may respond more positively with the use of nitrous oxide. It can reduce anxiety and gagging, and make long appointments more bearable for your child. We will do everything we can to help them relax and enjoy their visit with us.

Oral Sedation

One of the easier methods for relaxing a child that is afraid is the use of oral sedation. Your child receives the sedative through a drink, so it does not require a needle or "shot", which most children are afraid of. This method allows the Dentist to help your child to relax and remain more calm throughout the entire procedure.
